The digital switchover is scheduled to take place in our region during 2011. At this time, the existing analogue signal will be switched off and all programmes will be transmitted digitally. On or before this date, viewers will require a TV which is capable of receiving the digital signal, either from the TV’s integrated digital tuner, or via an external source such as a set-top box, or a Freesat or Sky satellite system.
